Porcelain Veneers

Trusted Porcelain Veneers Providers in Vancouver, WA

Porcelain veneers provide a cosmetic dentistry solution for a wide range of aesthetic concerns. Your porcelain veneers are custom-designed for your smile. Each veneer is created to perfectly match the color, shape, and translucency of your natural tooth.

Porcelain veneers provide dramatic smile enhancements in less time!

At Ranieu Family Dental, watching patients discover a brilliant new smile highlights our days. Veneers can transform a smile dramatically, sometimes referred to as “instant orthodontics.” A set of veneers can correct chips, stains, and even deeply discolored teeth. But they can also alter the length and size of teeth, or help teeth that seem rotated suddenly appear straight. While it sounds dramatic, only the stunning visual outcome is surprising. Veneers provide a highly conservative approach to esthetic smile makeovers.

Veneers display the ultimate in dental art and science, handcrafted and customized to fit your smile. Like a contact lens, these paper-thin pieces of porcelain bond to the outside of your natural teeth. But don’t be fooled by the thin characteristics of this material. Many unique features can be incorporated into the ceramics, replicating any look you want to create.

While veneers provide a conservative way to repair bad teeth, the steps behind the process require a high level of training to produce accurately. So what’s involved in bringing a smile like this to life?

OUR PROCESS:
Your complete smile transformation will be complete within 3 to 4 weeks. First, you will consult with your dentist about your interest in veneers, discuss your smile goals, and create a treatment plan that includes the shape, size, and color goals for your new porcelain veneers. Your porcelain veneers will be colored to perfectly match the rest of your natural teeth or they can be colored to create a brighter smile.

During your first treatment appointment, your dentist will gently reshape the enamel on the front of your tooth or teeth receiving the veneer(s). This ensures the veneers look natural and fit correctly on your teeth. Then, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth. We’ll send this to our preferred dental lab to create your custom-designed veneers. After the impressions are done, your dentist will place temporary veneers on your teeth while your custom designs are being created.

Once the custom veneers have been made and received by our dental office, we will schedule your next appointment. During this time your dentist will ensure the porcelain veneers fit correctly, remove the temporary veneers, then permanently bond the custom veneers to your teeth with expert precision.

What are the benefits of porcelain veneers?

  • Instantly improves your smile’s appearance
  • Creates evenness in your smile
  • Fills gaps between teeth
  • Seals chips or cracks
  • Covers stains and discolorations
  • Rejuvenates worn teeth
  • Covers, shapes, and corrects proportions
  • Corrects crookedness in one or more teeth
  • Veneers are durable

How do I care for my porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers provide patients with an instant smile enhancement. You need to care for them just as you would your natural teeth – by brushing and flossing twice per day and maintaining your routine dental check-ups. Other simple maintenance and upkeep will be monitored by your dentist at your visits. Follow these guidelines and your new porcelain veneers will be dazzling for years to come!

Will my porcelain veneers stain?

Veneers are made of a composite resin that doesn’t stain as easily as your natural tooth enamel because it is less porous. But it can still become discolored over time with prolonged exposure to drinks like coffee, tea, or red wine. Smoking and not keeping up with your oral healthcare routine can contribute to porcelain veneer discoloration. If you notice your veneers are becoming discolored, talk to your dentist about options for upgrading. Tooth whitening isn’t an option for veneers because the surface material isn’t the same as tooth enamel.
